Heading home

Its been a long week and I am finally heading home in a couple of hours. This past week has been good - I have learned more about my company's business than I have in the past 2 years working in the Information Services department.

Chicago has been real nice to us...no crazy snow storms and such. Although we did drop from a high 48F on Monday to about 18F today. But hey, I am not complaining. About the drivers on the road though, a whole different story. Don't get me started.

I did not get a chance to visit Chicago GSB this trip..I am hoping I will be able to come back for a visit, when the weather is a lot warmer. Will be booking my tickets to NY this weekend. Yet to hear from CBS, and I am still debating if I should email students listed on their web site. Should I plan my trip to the very last detail or just wing it?

Going from 70+ to 30 (and below)

Well, I am off to Chicago for work and will be there all next week. Going from 70+ weather to 30F and below..yah!!

I finally took the plunge, bit the rope..whatever you want to call it. I scheduled my GMAT. Mar 11, 8.00AM.
I have been quite disciplined in my prep so far..I have completed all the questions in the OG 11th ed and marked all the questions I got wrong and why I got them wrong.
Now I am systematically going about tackling my problem areas.

I also have a a rough idea of my CBS visit. As I mentioned previously, I have signed up for the student host program. I also plan to attend the Info Session and the Student chat afterwards.

Feb 25 thembatour comes to San Francisco. The focus is European schools. The only one I am interested in is the London Business School.Still debating if I want to attend the fair.

One step forward

No, I have not taken the GMAT and scored upwards of 700. I am not even close to taking the test.
But I have decided to visit Columbia in March. My first school visit. I sent off an email requesting for a student host. As per the prompt auto-generated reply, I can hope to hear from them 10 days prior to my visit. They also have an info session scheduled for that day.
This means I NEED to take the GMAT before I visit.I think it will be better that way.

Year of the Dog is not forecasted to be a good one for me. In fact, when I read through the forecast, it seems like 2006 will not be a very good year for most signs. Except of course for the DOG sign.
