We won, we won!!

Yes, placed second in the Novice category in the 2006 SF Dragon Boat Race.

I paddled the first two races which were really close. The first one, we had a very late start. But in the middle, we made up some superb time and placed 3rd. Our coach was impressed. The second race was the semi-final. We did not place well but it was a very close race. We finished 5th and there was only a second time difference between us and first place. But we did manage to get our act together in the finals and placed second. According to our coach that is very impressive for a first-time team and that too with only 3 practice sessions.
